Austin, TX

I’ll always remember this trip as the time I almost wanted to move to Austin. Honestly, I still could be down but I just can’t get myself to say goodbye to California. Besides that, Texas in general experiences dramatic weather and tends to be more conservative. Growing up in the Bay Area, it’s hard to get used to that type of lifestyle…ya feel? Granted, Austin is like a separate place of its own. You don’t even feel like you’re in Texas. It’s like someone moved San Francisco onto flat ground and somehow made it more hipster. There’s artisan everything. There are string lights everywhere. The food is fucking amazing. And the coffee? Oh boy, don’t even get me started on the coffee.

It’s always fun going on trips with close friends no matter where you go. But damn, we got lucky with these tickets. We flew Frontier airlines and got our tickets for $29 ROUND TRIP. What a steal! I could easily pay more to visit Austin again, especially during festival time. This time around, there aren’t that many outdoor activities to do but we kept ourselves occupied with delicious tacos and BBQ, neat shops and farmer’s markets, and a poppin’ nightlife scene.

I could go on and on about Austin. But I’ll have you see for yourself. Check out this little video I threw together with some snippets from the trip. I wanted a way to relive these moments, especially during times like this.
