One night, the gals of the sailing team decided to get together and having a baking night. I was excited because I loved making desserts but had never gotten the chance to in college (living in the dorm and all). One of my teammates, Sarah, is a baking connoisseur (she had a whole box of different piping tips to frost every intricate detail imagined) and had gotten fresh passionfruit from the Farmer’s Market earlier that week. None of us have ever worked with passionfruit before and it was much more liquidy than we thought. However, we decided to make a passion fruit puree topped with some homemade butter cream that Sarah whipped up (which is to die for) and came up with these babies!!! So lo and behold, angel cupcakes with passion fruit puree, buttercream, and frosted with even more buttercream (blue and yellow for UCLA of course).
